Acrylic on homemade 30" by 22" canvas. Before creating this piece I wanted to show the behind the scenes in a persons life. There is the unclothed male figure to show the vulnerability and sensitivity in a mans life. Men are stereotyped as strong and almost monotonous so it makes them feel as if it is feminine to display emotion and I want to prove that that is not the case. The simple painted dove is in front of him to represent happiness and prosperity. Meaning it's okay to not be okay all the time and that acknowledging your emotions is important. This piece was inspired by "Man in a bowler hat" by René Magritte.
