We strive to maintain a friendly and safe environment for our members to browse, shop, and socialize. Respect, honesty, & common courtesy are the most important aspects of our group. Simply put -- treat others the way you want to be treated and keep it family friendly! (Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct can result in removal from the group. Admins reserve the right to delete or edit posts as necessary.)

PROHIBITED ITEMS - VarageSale prohibits the posting of certain items on its platform. Most of these are items that have some kind of regulation or restriction normally placed on their sale. Please refer to this list for details: http://help.varagesale.com/article/371-what-items-are-not-allowed

1. BE RESPECTFUL & COURTEOUS - Treat others the way you want to be treated and keep it family friendly.

2. BE RELIABLE & HONEST - Communicate clearly & promptly, correctly describe your items, and show up on time.

3. BE RESPONSIBLE & SAFE - You are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the TOS, learning how to use the platform, posting properly, managing your items, and following rules and guidelines. Admins are volunteers and do not mediate or assume any liability for transactions (buy & sell at your own risk). This group has a feeling of community, but please be wise: meet in public places and keep personal information off the feed.

**NOTE: To help maintain a community feel, please ONLY cross-post to the communities that you're willing to travel to in order to complete the sale. Otherwise, you need to opt-out.

NEW TO BUYING & SELLING? HERE ARE A FEW TIPS:

SELLERS:

• Use clear photos of clean items with a plain background; remember to rotate if needed
• Use a short simple title with honest, accurate details and clear pricing
• Post one photo per item unless selling as a lot; Use the comment section to provide alternate views
• Select the best category for your item and only post it once
• Check your notifications & messages often and communicate clearly with potential buyers
• Members generally follow the order of interest but ultimately, YOU decide how you sell, to whom you sell and how you complete transactions
• Encourage & allow the Buyer to inspect their items appropriately before purchase to alleviate any potential returns
• Keep your items up-to-date by changing the status as needed. Don't delete sold items, simply mark them as Sold and they will auto-delete after 7 days

BUYERS:

• Want to buy it? Hit "INTERESTED" and start the buying process
• Check your notifications & messages often
• Communicate clearly with a Seller via private message
• If you have changed your mind about an item, contact the Seller immediately
• Don't expect Seller to hold an item for long; there may be others who will purchase immediately
• Inspect all items before purchasing
• Bring exact cash
