Blacksmiths hand forged these iron ladles with small bowls to smelt lead and pour the molten metal into bullet molds.
They would often take their small forges to battle scenes to make an abundance of bullets for the soldiers.
These are great examples of Civil War history.
The longest ladle measures about 19".
