If you are thinking about doing that extra bit for the environment, then try my homemade beeswax food wraps. They are a great alternative to cling film. They are washable, reusable and biodegradable.

They can be used to wrap foods such as sandwiches, dry snacks, fruits and vegetables. Not recommended for raw meat or fish. Can also be used to cover jars or bowls of food.

Beeswax has natural anti-bacteria properties to help keep food fresh. The wraps will last many months before needing refreshing depending on your use and care. To clean, simply wash with cold or lukewarm water and washing up liquid and allow to air dry.
