Sadly it is time to let someone else enjoy this, as my kids have had their fun and we need the space.
Some features of this rocket are a red flashing light, alarm buzzer, internal fan(was intended to be the rocket engine noise but much quieter), colour changing led lights on the inside and a dimmable light on the roof to illuminate the stars cut into the ceiling. A couple more neat things you'd have to see to fully enjoy.
I built the frame out of plywood and it's very sturdy, I used to chase my kids in and out if it, sit in there with them on the bench with no issues. It comes apart into two halves for the walls. The base seperates as well as the stairs. The roof was taken off to fit in it's current location and sadly one winter ruined it, so for now I have large black paper sheets assembled as a roof.
It is wired for 120v with a standard Male end plug in, I wired it and I'm a Journeyman Electrician so it's nothing hokey, as you will see in person.
It's not perfect and if I did it again I would do things differently but I will say they enjoyed it and all of their friends wouldn't want to leave it. I have moved it roughly four times and I will say it's about a 30 minute job at the most to disassemble and re assemble.
I also have a 120v receptacle inside where they can plug a TV in as well.
I spent a LOT of time making this and over 300 dollars on materials. The paint is rugged and cleanable.
