Mid-1940s American Pottery (Evan K. Shaw) hand decorated pottery figurine of shy and timid Flower the Skunk, featured in the classic 1942 Disney film “Bambi”. She measures about 4-3/4” tall, about 4” front to back. In 1943, while at American Pottery, Shaw was given the rights by Disney to produce various Disney characters and these were created throughout the late 1940s to mid-1950s. Flower has chipping on her right paw and the glaze has crazing.
