Hosting an upcoming event? Why not make it a travel-themed party!
I recently hosted a graduation party for a friend and have decorations left over. Since she studied International Studies, we had an international / travel theme.
For a total of $20, I'm re-selling some of the decoration items I bought and put together for the table centerpieces. Each table represented a different country (example photo of final look attached). I'm selling everything together in an all inclusive package. (The total is a lot cheaper than the original cost of the purchased items and materials.)
Here's what the package includes:
-9 Mini Travel "Suite Cases" (made out of shoe boxes)
-Altas maps
-International Flag Ribbon (pinned these to the food tablecloths for extra flair)
-International Flag Banner
-12 Table Tent Cards (each represent a different country and includes a riddle on the back. Fun guessing game for guests)
-Passport Postcards
Total: $20
*Notes:
-Travel Suite Cases: I hand-made the mini travel suitcases out of shoe boxes. While this was time-consuming and labor intensive, a lot of the options online for mini travel suite cases are 'party favor' size. I wanted something a bit bigger, and this was an affordable way to pull off a Pinterest idea without having to pay an exorbitant amount.
-Tent Cards: Each tent card features an iconic person, building or cultural emblem of a country. On the backside, there is a riddle related to the image shown on the front. This made for a fun way for guests to guests what country that their table represented (in the event that they did not recognize the flag). Countries included: Japan, Cambodia, Nigeria, France, Israel, Mexico, India, Italy, Jamaica, Morocco, Peru, and Ethiopia.
-This does package does not include the international flags featured in the photo. You can find these for approx. $1.92 each online. I used FlagsImporter.com as my vendor.
-This package also does not include the flowers (for obvious reasons) nor the flower vases (I used cheap containers I found at the Dollar Store and just wrapped them in extra atlas map paper.)
