A definite rare find in good condition, a complete Vintage Portable Diamond Balance Scale. Historically, this was a required tool of the trade for jewelers and one to hand down from generation to generation. A thorough scouring of online resources was conducted; I was unable to locate another scale of this quality and with all components intact.

The scale is complete and remains functional including all weights, the scale's original wooden box, tweezers, and protective cover.

The approximate size of the wooden box is 6.5" x 2.5" x 1.5".  As seen in the many pictures posted, the scale has a beautiful patina indicating the scale was well-used and cared for. The box displays superficial scratches consistent with use and the mechanism opens and closes easily.
