My pride, and joy, my Very Rare Huge Antique 19th Century French From France silver-backed Bevelled Ornate Mirror. Mirrors of this kind were originally gold (gilded). This was painted at some point, which was very common to do in France post-1900. This listing includes 2 French bottles of gilding liquid should you decide to restore it at any point. I personally have had a hard time deciding, as the white is historical in its own way, and allows you to see the amazing ornate details clearer than if it was gold. The mirror is original and shows normal signs of it being around 160 years old (silver oxidizing in the mirror, grey smoke look in some areas) giving it a beautiful mysterious look. This elegant lady is 78 inches tall and 54 inches wide and is very heavy. She is instantly the focal point in any room show is in, no photos could ever do her justice.
