The heating element is in the lower back area supplying heat to the back and seat. The back massager has 2 settings, high and low. This massager is new in an unopened box. Thus there are no actual item pictures. I left the box sealed so the VC-110 could be given as a gift if desired. The portable back massager with heat retails starting at $19.95.
