It works fine, we just don't use it since we upgraded the lighting in our living room. I did have to splice the cord several years ago, I think one of our animals decided the cord was a chew toy. We had a normal bulb in it, but I will pick up a 3 way bulb tomorrow to confirm 100% that all 3 brightness work.
