How I arrived at my asking price: Home depot has carpet like this listed between $3.70 - $5/square foot. Underlay is around $1/square foot new. Not sure exactly which type of carpet this matched up from the store with, so I went with the lower price. This could be $5/sq' carpet (not sure). To buy new, this carpet and underlay together is between $2,646 - $3,378. I cut the lowest estimated value in half to $1,323.
