About the Artist
Jan Butler received her BA in Art from Oberlin College in Oberlin Ohio. After college, she returned to her home state of Nevada where she was an Art Teacher for twenty-five
years in Clark County School District in Southern Nevada. She is a member of the Boulder City Art Guild. Her work has been exhibited in a variety of settings in Southern Nevada.

Jan prefers plein aire painting to studio work; consequently, her watercolors often reflect scenes from the beauty of the desert southwest and surrounding mountains. These are original works, and have this writing on the back.

Two small paintings are Aspens 1 and presuming Aspens 2, and the two larger are both scenes with early small housing in rural areas typical to this region.

They would make wonderful housewarming gifts, or a fantastic way to introduce some local flair into your personal decorating style.
